About Course
Our Mobile Elevating Work Platform Boom training is available as a 2-day course for up to 3 novice candidates training at customers premises
If candidates have experience, or if it’s a refresher, the course could be done in 1 day.
Day 2:
If candidates have experience, or if it’s a refresher, the course could be done in 1 day.
Two Day Course
Structure:
Day 1:- Theory in the training room
- PPE requirements including the wearing of the harness and hard hats
- Introduction MEWP Boom and training area
- Pre-operational checks, and safety lowering functions
- completing the check sheet and fault reporting
- Area checks, Ground conditions and overhead power lines and EOTC cranes
- Basic manoeuvres
- Chicane
- Conduct simulated tasks in a safe area
- PPE requirements including the wearing of the harness and hard hats
- Pre-operational checks complete check sheet and report any defects
- Travel to the training area and checks for hazards
- Practice test as per NPORS test requirements
- NPORS theory tests
- NPORS practical test
- NPORS registration
Once conversion training is complete the candidates will require specific and familiarisation training from the employer.
